Realme is preparing for the launch of the Realme GT 8 series in October, and the upcoming standard edition has already started generating attention. According to Realme Vice President Wang Wei and tipster Digital Chat Station, the device is expected to bring some Pro-level specifications to the standard version. Here’s a look at the details shared by them.

The Realme GT 8 will feature the same 2K resolution 144Hz OLED screen as the GT 8 Pro. It supports global peak brightness of 2000 nits and introduces Realme’s 4000-nit sunlight display technology, allowing up to 20 percent of the panel to reach this brightness level for outdoor visibility. The display also integrates Realme’s new tactile control chip with an instant sampling rate of 3200Hz and 360Hz multi-finger touch sampling, enhancing responsiveness during gaming sessions.

On the performance side, the phone will run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with a dedicated display processor. Early benchmarks shared by DCS show an impressive AnTuTu score of 3,322,942.

Externally, the GT 8 is said to adopt a refined design with a frosted metal frame, glass back panel, and rounded R-angle corners. It is also tipped to support 3D ultrasonic fingerprint recognition for improved security. Other reports have revealed that it may pack a 7,000mAh battery, and the series will debut with Realme UI 7.0, based on Android 16.

The Realme GT 8 Pro is already confirmed to launch as India’s first Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 phone. However, it is unclear whether the GT 8 will be released in markets outside of China.
